The Waipukurau and District Scottish Society are holding their next Ingleside on the 1st November 2008 . Venue: St Mary's Church Hall. Time: 8pm to approx 11.30pm. Newcomers assured of a warm welcome. An evening of family entertainment with old-time and Scottish dancing, items, raffles and a lovely supper. Come and try something new! Members $2, non-members $4, college students $1, children no charge.

Toast Martinborough Wine, Food and Music Festival this morning smashed its ticket sale record, selling out in just five minutes. This breaks last year's record of 19 minutes. General manager Rachael Fletcher said it was the "ultimate barometer" of how well the event continued to delight festival-goers.
