Everybody in Waipawa will know Celine Swanepoel, the little girl with the crutches. But who knows she will need the crutches for at least two years? She has perthes disease, a nasty condition that destroys her hip joint, and if everything works out well it will re-grow eventually. She must stay off her right leg! A group of European parents with Perthes girls is very thankful for Celine and her mother Patricia for her extensive presence in social media, encouraging us here. We have tried to start a fundraising campaign, which is a challenge because we don't know the New Zealand rules and culture. We hope someone will take the lead, but this is disappointing up
to now. Will you try and help us, please?
