St Joseph’s – and proud of it!

The Onga Sevens produced another successful excursion, both in terms of enjoyment/participations and results.  On what was a bitterly cold day our students excelled in the sports arena, representing our school with pride and passion.  We are proud of all our teams, however special mention must be made to both our Senior Netball and Senior Rugby teams who won their finals in closely contested matches.  It was great to hear our parents on the side lines cheering for our students. We all know how much better you tend to play when you have family watching.  From the soccer and rugby fields to the netball courts, students gave it all – just getting on with the games.

A special thanks to our coaches – (you did a great job) and our supporters.

There was talk on the bus that, due to sore muscles, the next day be made a public holiday. Instead a compromise was reached – Mr Henderson won’t hold to a tough fitness session on the Thursday with the seniors.
