Does your business need a spring clean?  Spring cleaning a business can cover many aspects.  If you have been in business for a long time (or not) it can be useful to look at your business from the clients perspective.

First Contact/phone contact
First point of contact how does your business greet clients?  On the phone do your clients feel valued? is there a web presence? (CHB.NET.NZ can assist with this) is your business easily found? Do clients know your business hours? Do they know what you do? What you specialise in?

Entrance/reception
When your client comes in is it welcoming? Tidy? Clean? Look like a business? Friendly greeting?

Information
Is your information easy to find (for both client and yourself)? do you have enough fliers/information for them to take away and look at or have you run out? is the information current?  Are your staff knowledgeable and able to assist clients in your absence?

Database of clients
Do you have a database to keep up with clients and have up to date contact details for them so you can send them, say, a newsletter with your latest deals/specials/new product that has come out.  Keeping in touch with your client shows you care maybe you could add them to a VIP club with a loyalty discount.  Keep them coming back, keep them shopping local.

Workflow/efficiency
How is the workflow in your business logical and orderly or illogical and disordered?  Small changes in the workspace can make a huge difference to how well things run.  Sometimes just a few baskets or files or computer files can make a huge difference in how easy it is to find and store things.

Do you want to do all this but it is in the too hard basket or don’t have time.  I can help.  Do you need a mystery shopper to come in and do an unbiased review of these details and give a report and/or assist with your ‘spring clean’.  Call me.
