Deputy Chief Fire Officer for teh Waipukurau Volunteer Fire Brigade Owen Spotswood has officially resigned his position after 54 years.  On behalf of the public of Central Hawkes Bay we congratulate and thank Owen for his many years of dedicated service and selfless hard work, putting his life at risk to assist others.

We also wish for safety for our Volunteer Fire service people as they do a dangerous job and help to protect the public.  Many thanks for your time and efforts.
