CHB Mail Climate Change article
Yet again we see another article filled with incorrect and very out of date information regarding climate change. This time the article appeared in the CHB Mail.
I suggest the author of it read the New Scientist website's series about climate change titled "Climate Change: A guide for the Perplexed". This series demolishes the 26 most common myths and misinformation regarding climate change, including those in the article such as the "Hockey Stick" graph.
I also recommend people do some research on the author of the original article from which the Mail's article was derived. S. Fred Singer admitted back in 1993 that he did climate change research for oil companies such as Exxon, Texaco, Arco, Shell, and the American Gas Association.
Strangely, his findings seem to support those who have been funding his research.
Even more interesting is that in the past he was a researcher for the American Tobacco Industry. While working in this role he worked on articles about "Junk Science" which defended the tobacco industries views. One of his articles was titled, "The Top 5 Environmental Myths of 1995" and included the claim that secondhand tobacco smoke is not a human carcinogen.
And finally, after claiming in 1993 that he had been working for oil companies to do climate change research, he then claimed in 2001 that he had never received in oil company money in the previous 20 years while working for them.
Really? Then who paid him when he was consulting for them?
