I have long-since ceased to be an active member of the NZ First Party, even though I was a last-minute candidate for them a couple of elections back.
Even though I feel That Winston has put himself between a rock and a hard place other the contributions scandal, he has to date been one of this country's most effective politicians through the vehicle of MMP.

I will not be supprised if he loses very few supporters in his home electorate of Tauranga over the contributions matter.

The Carbon Tax

An obviously departing Labour Government, combined with an obviously self-destructing NZ First and a totally off the planet Greens Party are creating legislation to save the planet by putting enviromental taxes on our transport and energy use!!!!!

The National Party is offering no causes for optimism either.

Considering that it is all meant to happen before the next election in very few months time, have you noticed that because it is going through, right or wrong, the politicians are all keeping us in the dark on all of the finer points.

For that same reason, we, the people, will not have any vote on it. No referendum, no consultation. In fact just a very large political NO!!!

Like all great change, it has to be geared so that carbon taxing does not hurt our exports too much otherwise our whole infrastructure falls to pieces.

What is needed in any new government...

So Many issues- So few solutions!

Even though solutions need to be found for New Zealand-Aotearoa to re-engineer an economy which can function well in a new concept of biological enviroment, i.e. Percieved climate-change, carbon footprints etc, such an economy cannot be grown in a national enviroment of social chaos and crime.

Social welfare is not a government department, but a concept of caring for the populace as a whole, in which we once, as a country led the world.
